The Indian River County Bar Association held their annual Holiday Party on December 4 at the Vero Beach Hotel and Spa’s Cobalt Room. Several hundred lawyers attended the evening’s festivities which also supported the Indian River County Lawyers Auxiliary Toy & Book Drive.
The Toy Drive was to help relieve stress for over 100 children that need to appear in Dependency Court each month in our county. The Auxiliary requires 1200 toys to run the program for a year. The Book Drive benefits “Pelican Island READS,” a program designed to put books in the hands and homes of struggling 3rd grade readers. Each registered guest was asked to bring toys and books for donation to help the needy children of Indian River County.
The Indian River County Bar Association which offers continuing legal education programs, a speakers’ bureau, probono programs to assure availability of legal services to the indigent, law related educational programs for the public, community service as well as ongoing events in the community.
