Thomas W. Tierney

Member and Chair of Civil Litigation Department

Thomas Tierney joined Rossway Swan in 2000 with over eight years of prior legal experience in business and commercial litigation.  Tom concentrates his practice in general civil litigation matters, including commercial, business, employment, real estate, and probate and trust litigation.  He has tried many cases to verdict before both judges and juries.

Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with high honors, from the University of Notre Dame.  He received his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of California College of the Law.  Tom also received a graduate legal diploma in taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law.  Tom began his legal career with Klinedinst PC, before joining Wilson Turner Kosmo LLP, both of which are in San Diego.

Tom has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2000, and has been admitted to practice in California since 1992.  He is admitted to all of the Federal District Courts in Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.  He received the Pro Bono Service Award from the President of the Florida Bar in 2011.  Since moving to Vero Beach and joining Rossway Swan, Tom has actively served on the board and as Chair of the Hope for Families Center, on the board and as Chair of the Indian River Soccer Association, and on the board and as Chair of Riverside Theatre.
