R. Blake Smith

Blake Smith joined the Firm in 2013 and practices in the areas of probate, guardianship, and mental health. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Blake worked as an Assistant Public Defender in St. Lucie and Indian River counties from 2008 to 2013 to start his legal career.  It was this experience that helped Blake develop an interest in mental health and the interplay with our legal system

Blake attended the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. Upon graduation, Blake attended Coastal School of Law and received his Juris Doctor degree.

Blake embodies the Firm’s commitment to community service through his work as a Board member of the Indian River County Bar and Crossover Mission, Inc.
