When the United Way of Indian River County selected Mike and Leslie Swan as the co-chairs to lead their 2014-2015 Campaign, everyone knew that it would take a lot of hands-on capabilities, creative thinking, strategizing, and hard work to even come close to the goal of $2,630,000, which was the highest in the history of the organization.  When Leslie Swan, Indian River County’s Supervisor of Elections, and husband Mike Swan, a partner in the law firm of Rossway Swan, took the helm, they not only met that challenge, they surpassed it by raising a total thus far of $2,791,065.

According to Brad Rossway, Managing Partner for Rossway Swan, “We have shared a long-standing relationship with the United Way professionally, but we also partner with the organization individually and personally. To be able to follow the outstanding success that Mike and Leslie have had with the organization this year has been immensely gratifying and their impact on the community embodies the United Way’s ideal to Live United.”

The success of this 2014-2015 campaign was celebrated on March 9th at the Vero Beach Country Club.

Susan Adams, Chair-Elect for the United Way Board of Directors complimented the Swans for “giving a tremendous amount of time, planning, organizing, reaching out to people, doing interviews, and even losing sleep on behalf of the campaign.”
